Calqulate Metrics Ltd is seeking an experienced Welding Engineer to support and continuously improve welding operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role focuses on developing welding processes, troubleshooting issues, and supporting robotic welding systems to improve quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering or ≈3+ years of hands-on welding engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of GMAW welding principles and AWS standards.
• Experience developing welding parameters, process sheets, procedures, and training documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to identify weld defects and engineer solutions.
• Working knowledge of welding systems, equipment, software, and inverter-based power supplies.
• Experience with advanced steels, aluminum, and/or magnesium alloys.
• Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications.

Responsabilités

• Develop, validate, and maintain weld process sheets, welding parameters, procedures, and standards for production welding stations.
• Develop welding techniques for manual and robotic welding operations.
• Troubleshoot weld failures, defects, and process issues and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical support for robotic welding programs and automated assembly processes.
• Assist with robotic weld gun calibration, equipment setup, communication, and performance verification.
• Analyze weld coupons and testing results to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and related documentation.
• Ensure automated welding programs have required documentation and approvals before production release.
• Monitor consumables, gas mixtures, and wire usage.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in welding processes.
