Ottenweller Company, Inc. in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an experienced Welder/Robot Programmer to operate and program robotic welders on a production line. You will set up fixtures, load parts, and weld to blueprints, ensuring first‑piece approval and consistent quality.
This full‑time role requires high school/GED, 3–5 years welding and some robotic programming. You will train operators, perform routine maintenance, and work in a loud shop environment with safety and accuracy as priorities.
Programs and tends one or more industrial robotic welders to weld metal workpieces to specifications on a production basis by performing the following duties.
The position may require occasional supervisory responsibility in the absence of Teamleader and/or for relaying general information.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to five years welding experience and/or training; basic blueprint proficiency required. Previous robotic programming experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with vendors and employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
