Job summary

Schuette Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a skilled operator to run robotic weld machines and finish weld assemblies to exact specifications. You will read basic blueprints, set up jigs, and perform light metal prep, with first and second shift options. Overtime may be needed.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school or 3–6 months related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a robotic welder to exact positions.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, squat, twist, and stand for prolonged periods.
• Must meet deadlines and be able to work overtime.
• Prompt and reliable attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, or tend robotic welding machines that join components to fabricate metal products or assemblies.
• Position, align, and bolt jigs, holding fixtures, guides, or stops onto machines using measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Prepare metal surfaces or workpieces using grinders, cutters, or drills.
• Read and understand basic blueprints, complete welder set-up procedures and perform routine maintenance.

Position Summary

Primarily responsible for operating one or more weld machines to finish weld assemblies to meet requirements while abiding my company and safety policies and procedures.

Schedules

• 1st Shift 5:00am-1:30pm (Monday-Friday)
• 2nd Shift 1:30pm-12:00am (Monday-Thursday)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, or tend robotic welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies.
• Select, position, align, and bolt jigs, holding fixtures, guides, or stops onto machines, using measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Prepare metal surfaces or workpieces, using hand-operated equipment, such as grinders, cutters, or drills.
• Ability to read and understand basic blueprints, complete necessary welder set-up procedures and perform routine preventative maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• One year certificate from college or technical school: or three to six months related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a robotic welder to exact positions.
• Physically, must be able to lift up to 50lbs., bend, squat, twist, and stand for prolonged periods of time.
