Job summary

KION Robotics Solutions Division is seeking a Systems Engineer to architect and detail Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) system solutions for global warehouse automation. You will work with hardware, software, and functional specialists to ensure modular, scalable architectures that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities include defining system requirements, standardizing interfaces, and driving MBSE-based modeling using SysML to enable robust, future-proof designs. Travel up to 30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years engineering experience.
• 3–5 years applications experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with material handling equipment systems.
• MBSE tools (SysML), DOORS, PTC RV&S, or Siemens Teamcenter, Microsoft Office; SW programming a plus.
• Experience in Material Handling Automation equipment, preferably AGVs, Pallet Conveyor, Industrial Trucks, and/or AS/RS.
• Experience in WMS, WCS, or Control Level Software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the build and architectural planning of hardware and software solutions with HW and SW specialists.
• Capture, analyze, and manage system requirements to align solutions with customer needs.
• Drive standardization of system architecture and interfaces to enable alignment across solutions.
• Define system specifications for implementation and testing teams.
• Act as the technical linchpin, promoting knowledge transfer across domains.
• Use SysML MBSE methodologies to detail and refine architectural approaches.
