Job summary

SURGE Staffing in Anderson, SC is seeking a Robotics Programmer / CNC Programmer to support manufacturing operations at our growing facility. The role involves programming and operating robotic welding equipment, CNC fiber laser, and press brake systems, reading blueprints, and ensuring quality parts.

Candidates with OTC welding robot experience are strongly preferred and those with multi-area CNC or robotics backgrounds will be encouraged to learn cobot programming.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial robotics, CNC programming, or automated manufacturing equipment.
• OTC welding robots experience is strongly preferred.
• CNC fiber laser cutting and/or CNC press brake programming is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, machine setup, and production quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate robotic welding equipment and automated manufacturing systems.
• Program and operate OTC welding robots to produce quality parts and assemblies.
• Set up, program, and operate CNC flat-sheet fiber laser cutting equipment.
• Program and operate CNC press brake equipment for sheet metal forming.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
• Adjust programs and machine settings to ensure accuracy, quality, and production efficiency.
• Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and equipment issues.
• Inspect completed parts to verify dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
• Collaborate with production and manufacturing team members to improve processes and resolve production challenges.
• Learn and support collaborative robot (cobot) programming as needed.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Robotics Programmer / CNC Programmer to support manufacturing operations at a growing industrial facility in Anderson, SC. This position is ideal for someone with experience programming and operating industrial robots, CNC laser equipment, or CNC press brakes.

Candidates with experience across multiple areas of CNC programming and robotic automation are especially encouraged to apply. Experience programming OTC welding robots is highly valuable, and candidates with this background may have the opportunity to learn additional collaborative robot (cobot) programming.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate robotic welding equipment and automated manufacturing systems.
• Program and operate OTC welding robots to produce quality parts and assemblies.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, machine setup, and production quality standards.
• Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a production team.
• Willingness to learn additional robotic programming systems and automation technologies.
