HireArt is assisting our client in hiring a motivated, entry-level Robot Service Technician Assistant to support daily operations, maintenance, and preparations of our delivery robots.

This part-time, on-site role is available to candidates local to the University Center, MI area, offering a hands-on entry point into robotics and electro-mechanical assembly.

You will learn foundational skills while ensuring fleet readiness and supporting the remote tracking team as needed.

Qualifications

• Comfortable working in varied field environments.
• Ability to lift and move items over 50 pounds safely.
• Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• General computer literacy.
• Introductory background or interest in EV service, automotive repair, or electronics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare robots for daily deployment with hardware/software readiness.
• Charge robots and manage power cycles overnight.
• Clean robots and protect external hardware.
• Assist with basic mechanical repairs on the robot fleet.
• Help implement hardware or software updates fleet-wide.
• Support remote coordinators as on-site contact.
• Perform calibrations and wheel alignment for safe navigation.
• Keep workshop organized and safe.

Expected compensation: 23.00 - 25.00 USD Per Hour

This part-time and weekend-based role is the perfect starting point for individuals looking to build a career in robotics and electro-mechanical assembly. You will ensure our fleet is ready for deployment while learning foundational skills needed to advance in our rapidly growing industry.

As a Robot Service Technician Assistant, You'll

• Prepare robots for the shift: Ensure all hardware and software are ready for daily deployment.
• Put robots/batteries on chargers for the night: Manage power cycles to ensure maximum fleet readiness.
• Cleaning robots: Maintain physical appearance and protect sensitive external hardware.
• Perform mechanical repairs: Assist with and execute basic repairs on the robot fleet.
• Perform service campaigns: Help implement widespread hardware or software updates across the fleet.
• Assist remote support coordinators: Act as the hands-on field contact for the remote tracking team.
• Perform calibrations and wheel alignment: Ensure sensors and chassis components are properly tuned for safe navigation.
• Keep workshop clean and tidy: Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workspace for the entire technical team.
