Job summary

GableTek in Michigan seeks a Yaskawa Motoman Robotics Technician to install, calibrate, and commission Motoman systems across customer sites. Based in Novi or Clinton Township, MI, with travel to installations across customer sites.

You will read schematics, assist with PLC- integrated control, conduct system testing, and ensure safety compliance while supporting launches and on-site commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Install, setup, and commission Yaskawa Motoman robotic systems and automation cells.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues during installation.
• Work with PLC and controls teams to integrate robotics into production lines.
• Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and layout prints.
• Conduct system testing, validation, and production readiness checks.
• Provide on-site technical support during installation and launch phases.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Yaskawa Motoman Robotics Technician to support installation, integration, and commissioning of robotic systems across multiple customer sites. This role will be based out of Novi, MI or Clinton Township, MI , but requires flexibility to travel to various job sites for installation and launch support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, setup, and commission Yaskawa Motoman robotic systems and automation cells
• Support new equipment launches at customer manufacturing facilities
• Perform robot setup, calibration, and basic programming adjustments
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues during installation
• Work closely with PLC and controls teams to integrate robotic systems into production lines
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and layout prints
