Job summary

You will collaborate with engineering, controls, and project teams to ensure safe, reliable, and production-ready robotic systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on robot programming experience, knowledge of CNC environments, and a willingness to travel to customer facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial robot programming experience.
• Experience with major robot platforms such as FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa/Motoman, KUKA or Kawasaki.
• Understanding of CNC equipment and automated manufacturing environments.
• Willingness to travel to customer facilities.

Responsibilities

• Program, modify, debug, and optimize industrial robots for manufacturing applications.
• Develop robot routines for machine tending, material handling, loading/unloading, and part inspection.
• Configure robot tools, frames, payloads, I/O, and communications.
• Integrate robots with CNC machines, conveyors, vision systems, and other automation equipment.
• Support robotic cell startup, testing, commissioning, and production ramp-up.
• Conduct cycle-time analysis and optimize robot movements for efficiency.
• Troubleshoot robot, PLC, CNC, networking, and machine-interface issues.
• Perform testing and validation at company and customer facilities.
• Provide onsite and remote technical support to customers.
• Assist with operator and maintenance training.
• Create and maintain robot backups, setup instructions, operating procedures, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Work closely with controls and mechanical engineering teams on system integration, tooling, and gripper functionality.
• Participate in design reviews, project planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Robot Programmer

Position Overview

We are seeking a Robot Programmer to program, integrate, commission, and optimize industrial robotic systems used in automated manufacturing and CNC machine‑tending applications.

This position will work with engineering, controls, applications, project management, and customer teams to ensure robotic systems are properly programmed, safe, reliable, and capable of meeting production requirements. The ideal candidate has hands‑on robot programming experience and a strong understanding of manufacturing automation and CNC environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of industrial robot programming experience preferred.
• Experience with one or more major robot platforms such as FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa/Motoman, KUKA, or Kawasaki.
• Experience with CNC machine tending or automated manufacturing preferred.
• Understanding of CNC equipment, machining processes, and machine interfaces.
• Experience with EOAT, grippers, and automated material handling.
• Familiarity with industrial safety systems and machine safeguarding.
• Ability to troubleshoot robotic and automated manufacturing systems.
• Strong understanding of robot motion optimization and cycle‑time improvement.
• Ability to read and create technical documentation.
• Comfortable working independently and directly with customers.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer facilities as needed.

Education

• Associate degree or technical education in Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent hands‑on experience and technical training will be considered.
