Responsibilities

• Operate locomotive/trackmobile to move rail cars following procedures.
• Coordinate switching of cars between tracks and manage clearances.
• Handle switches and hand brakes per programs.
• Walk the track to monitor conditions and report issues.
• Record data and dispatch information accurately.
• Operate scales and document ingredients via the ticketing system.
• Unload feed ingredients and route to storage silos.
• Obtain and run quality analysis on ingredients.
• Lift and use hand tools to assist unloading.
• Perform minor maintenance with hand tools.
• Work in hot, dusty, wet, cold environments; heavy dust exposure.
• Work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as needed.
• Sign and follow Tyson Biosecurity Guidelines.

Job Details:Pay is $18.20 per hour PLUS an additional $2.00 per hour shift differential.Schedule: Friday through Monday 2PM to 9PM. Ability to operate a locomotive/trackmobile to move rail cars by following established procedures and/or specifications. Work and perform all the functions of the Control Room Panel -Batching operator.2. Ability to coordinate activities such as switching cars from one track to another, coupling railcars together, and/or clearances.3. Ability to handle switches and hand brakes in accordance with company programs.4. Ability to walk the length of the track to monitor track conditions and report any irregularities to management.5. Ability to accurately record data/Dispatch6. Ability be able to operate scales and document incoming ingredients through the ticketing system7. Ability to operate equipment to unload feed ingredients and route to appropriate storage silo8. Ability to obtain and run quality analysis on required incoming ingredients9. Ability to lift and use hand tools to assist in unloading of ingredients10. Ability to perform minor maintenance duties using hand tools11. Ability to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments. Heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.12. Ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling13. Ability to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures14. Able to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species15. Maintain good housekeeping including service areas and grounds keeping.16. Communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where required17. Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols18. Able to Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance19. Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.20.
