Casa Bonita in Lakewood, CO is seeking dedicated Roaming Cast performers to entertain guests through puppet shows, costumed characters, and live interactions. You will be assigned one or more roles based on your skills and experience, delivering high-energy, family-friendly performances in a fast-paced venue.

The role requires 18+ years old, strong performance background, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• Prior performance experience required in theater, improv, hosting, voice acting, puppetry, mascot work, or character acting.
• Roaming Cast can be assigned one or more roles based on their skills and experience.
• Puppeteer: puppetry styles including trigger, rod, Avenue Q-style puppets.
• Suited: strong non-verbal communication and ability to wear costumes
• Character: ability to learn and portray standard characters
• Fluent English and reliable transportation; able to work weekends, days, late nights, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Portray an assigned character to entertain and engage guests, follow scripts and guidelines
• Engage guests through interactive storytelling, improvisation, and non-verbal cues
• Participate in scripted and improvisational performances including puppet shows and in-restaurant experiences
• Handle guest photos and meet-and-greet moments professionally
• Log costume repairs, props, or performance notes and participate in post-shift debriefs
• Perform other duties as assigned by Entertainment leadership based on business needs

What You’ll Do:

At Casa Bonita, every team member plays a vital role in creating memorable dining and entertainment experiences for our guests. The Roaming Cast interacts with and entertains guests, bringing Casa Bonita’s experience to life through puppet shows, costumed character performances, and live portrayals. Cast members are assigned one or more roles based on their skills and experience.

Responsibilities:

• Portray an assigned character to entertain and engage guestsand deliver consistent, high-quality performances, follow scripts, and character guidelines
• Engage guests through interactive storytelling, improvisation, and non-verbal communication
• Participate in scripted and improvisational performances, including puppet shows and interactive in-restaurant experiences
• Handle guest photos and meet-and-greet moments professionally and efficiently
• Log any costume repairs, prop issues, or performance notes
• Participate in post-shift debriefs to discuss audience engagement and show improvements
• Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by Entertainment leadership based on business needs

Qualifications/Skills:

• 18+ years of age
• Prior performance experience required in theater, improv, hosting, voice acting, puppetry, mascot work, or character acting
• Roaming Cast can be assigned one or more roles based on their skills and experience. Role-specific qualifications include:
• Puppeteer
• Prior experience with various puppetry styles, including trigger, rod, and Avenue Q-style puppets
• Exceptional manual dexterity to operate puppets smoothly and realistically, perform scripted scenes with expressive motion, and synchronize spoken words with puppet actions
• Suited
• Strong non-verbal communication skills, convey emotions and enthusiasm through physical gestures and expressions
• Able to perform in confined spaces and wear costumed or mascot-style suits with limited visibility and mobility, while tolerating heat
• Character
• Able to learn and portray standard characters
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Passionate about entertaining others
• Able to communicate effectively in English
• Must have reliable form of transportation and be able to work flexible shifts, inclusive of weekends, days, late nights, and holidays
• Regular and dependable attendance is an essential function of this position.
• This position requires consistent availability for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening shifts, as well as Sunday morning shifts, on an ongoing basis. Candidates must be able to reliably work these required shifts as part of the regular schedule expectations for the role. Availability for these shifts is a condition of employment for this position. This availability is also an essential function of the role.

Preferred:

• Bilingual in Spanish

Physical & Environmental Demands:

• Able to distinguish colors and see both up close and at a distance
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Able to use manual dexterity, gross motor skills, and fine motor skills
• Must be able to walk at least 10,000 steps per shift, including stairs, inclines, and declines
• Able to pivot, transition between seated and standing positions, kneel, stoop, and lift throughout shifts
• Able to work in confined spaces
• Able to multitask and work efficiently with speed, accuracy, and composure in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant and entertainment venue under pressure
