Job summary

National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS) is seeking a Roadway Worker In Charge (RWIC) to support railroad flagging services for Class 1 Railroads, regional short lines, transit systems, and state DOTs.

The RWIC will coordinate on-site operations and communicate clearly with dispatchers, crews, and contractors. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 2 years of relevant railroad experience, and the ability to travel extensively.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Class 1 Railroad or related entities.
• Ability to travel extensively and complete required training.

Responsibilities

• Provide jobsite coordination and clear communication with dispatchers and crews.
• Conduct thorough job briefings with all personnel on site.
• Enforce Railroad, State, and Federal policies.
• Identify violations and resolve per policies.
• Submit daily field reports of activities.
• Provide On-Track Safety per 49 CFR 214.
