Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking a Roadway / Utility Superintendent for day and night field operations in the Raleigh area. You will lead crews on highway, roadway and underground utility projects, primarily NCDOT work, ensuring safety and productivity.

This senior role requires 5+ years in heavy civil roadway or utility supervision, DOT project experience, and the ability to coordinate subcontractors, equipment, and traffic controls while maintaining project schedules.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil roadway/underground utility experience at the superintendent or senior foreman level.
• DOT roadway or utility project experience; night work a plus.
• Knowledge of grading, storm drainage, water/sewer installation, and paving sequencing.
• Strong understanding of work zone traffic control.
• Able to read plans and specs; track quantities accurately.
• Ready to work day or night shifts as needed.
• Valid driver's license.
• NCDOT project experience is a plus.
• OSHA 30 is a plus.
• HCSS HeavyJob or similar field tracking experience is a plus.
• Based in the Triangle or relocate to Raleigh area.

Responsibilities

• Run day and night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects.
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and foremen.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries.
• Plan the work and shift the project schedule.
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift.
• Set up traffic control and lane closures within approved work windows.
• Work directly with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers.
• Track installed quantities and daily production.
• Complete daily reports, crew time and field documentation.
• Coordinate handoffs with the project manager and the other shift.

Roadway / Utility Superintendent, Heavy Civil / NCDOT

Location: Raleigh, NC (Triangle area)

Industry: Heavy Civil / Highway / Utility / Infrastructure Construction

An established self perform heavy civil contractor with work across North Carolina and Virginia is hiring a Roadway / Utility Superintendent for day and night work in the Raleigh area. This is a strong opportunity for a Roadway Superintendent, Utility Superintendent or seasoned General Foreman with DOT roadway and utility experience who wants a stable employer with a long runway of work. You'll run day and night shift roadway and underground utility crews on highway, roadway and utility projects, much of it NCDOT work. Triangle locals are great, and candidates ready to relocate are welcome.
