Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Transportation/Roadway Project Engineer in North Carolina for our Charlotte or Raleigh offices. You will work on all phases of transportation projects for public and private clients, including interchanges, roadway widenings, roundabouts, bridge work, drainage and contract documents.

The position requires a BS in Civil Engineering, a NC PE license (or the ability to obtain within 1 year), and 5+ years of transportation engineering experience.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• NC PE license, or the ability to obtain within 1 year.
• 5+ years of experience in transportation engineering.
• Proficient with Microstation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff.
• Ability to compose technical reports, memorandums, and other written communication.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.

Responsibilities

• Work on all phases of Transportation Projects for public and private sector clients.
• Interchanges, roadway widenings, roundabout design, bridge projects, drainage, and contract documents.
• Develop maintenance of traffic plans and ensure on-time delivery within budgets.
• Coordinate with clients, coworkers, sub consultants and review staff.
