Job summary

USI Consultants, Inc., an Indiana-based civil engineering and surveying firm, seeks a self-motivated Transportation Engineer to join our Roadway Design Team across Indiana. You will design transportation and geometric roadways, develop plans, prepare specifications, and coordinate utilities on Local Public Agency and INDOT projects.

The ideal candidate holds a BSCE, Indiana PE licensure or eligibility, and strong communication skills, with experience in INDOT standards and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BSCE) in Civil Engineering.
• Indiana Professional Engineer Licensure or the eligibility to obtain.
• Working knowledge of INDOT Design Manual standards, specifications, and procedures.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Transportation and geometric roadway design, plan development, public presentation, specification writing.
• Drainage calculations, quantity calculations, cost estimating, utility coordination, permitting, and technical report writing.
• Work individually or as part of a team on Local Public Agency and INDOT projects.
• Effectively communicate project status to the Road Design Team and clients.
• Assist in recruiting new talent and contribute to a positive company culture.

Preferred:
