Job summary

KPFF Seattle’s Transportation Team is seeking a Transportation Engineering Designer to contribute to roadway, trail, and transit projects across Washington. Located in downtown Seattle, you’ll join a multidisciplinary, client-focused group delivering design through planning, permitting, and construction.

You’ll work under mentorship, prepare reports and calculations, collaborate with managers and agencies, and grow through KPFF’s Forefront program.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited civil engineering degree
• 0–4 years of experience under a licensed PE
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team
• Passionate about exceptional client service

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of roadways, trails, and transit facilities.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and design documentation under mentorship.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Navigate federal, state, and local regulations to meet standards.
• Join client meetings and site visits to gain project exposure.
