We are currently searching for an experienced Roadway Senior Project Manager to support our Southwest Region located in Bossier City, LA.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have at minimum 15 years of relevant experience utilizing LADOTD specific processes, manuals, or guidance.
What You’ll Be Doing
Project Execution
- Prepare a Project Execution Plan (PEP) that identifies the project team organization, specific tasks or phases, and all work required to complete the project, outlines a schedule to ensure that the project can be completed on time, and develops an estimate and schedule of the manpower requirements needed.
- Hold a project kick‑off meeting to review the PEP with project team members.
- Ensure quality control reviews are conducted and documented.
- Notify accounting when the project is ready for the closure cycle and ensure all files and documents are retained in accordance with corporate policy.
Project Monitoring and Review
- Maintain direct contact with clients on a continuing basis to discuss technical and scheduling issues.
- Conduct project staff meetings to review progress and facilitate communication and coordination within the team.
- Participate in the month‑end project review that coincides with monthly billing and status reports.
- Prepare and present a detailed project review for the Group Manager.
- Prepare and issue a monthly project progress report.
- Review Revenue Summary Reports monthly, including the status of A/R and WIP.
Project Control
- Ensure that all technical design changes are approved to conform to the standards, systems, and procedures specified by project requirements.
- Solicit assistance from the Operations Manager and other Project Managers to solve scheduling or technical problems encountered during the work.
- Evaluate the effect of scope changes on project budgets and schedules, and negotiate with the client to increase fees as necessary.
- Review, approve, and provide necessary documentation for invoicing in a timely manner.
- Maintain client accounts, including collection of Accounts Receivable.
Marketing and Business Development
- Provide input and participate in business development efforts.
- Maintain professional relationships with all clients.
What You Need To Have
- BS degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four‑year college or university.
- PE in Louisiana.
- 15+ years of relevant experience utilizing LADOTD specific processes, manuals, or guidance.
- Proficiency with OpenRoads Designer.
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).
