Job summary

DRMP is seeking a Roadway Project Manager to lead FDOT roadway design projects for county and municipal clients. You will manage a team of engineers and designers, ensuring design quality from concept to completion while coordinating with clients and partners.

The role emphasizes mentorship, client relationship-building, and playing a key part in DRMP’s growth in Florida’s infrastructure sector.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering required.
• Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of transportation roadway design experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager for FDOT roadway design projects, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Lead the project team of engineers and designers for roadway plans.
• Collaborate with clients, sub-consultants, and staff across disciplines to deliver quality work within schedule and budget.
• Mentor/junior engineers to develop future project managers.
• Develop and maintain client relationships to support growth and opportunities.
• Support business development through proposals and client presentations.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include

• Serve as the Project Manager for FDOT roadway design projects, ensuring compliance with FDOT and local agency project development standards.
• Lead the Project Team of highly talented engineers and designers for the design, analysis, and development of roadway plans.
• Collaborating with clients, sub-consultant partners, technical staff, and managers across multiple disciplines to develop quality deliverables within schedule and budgetary requirements.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers to develop the next generation of Project Managers.
• Develop and maintain client relationships to support business growth and project opportunities.
• Support DRMP’s business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations for FDOT projects.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor of Science from an ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering
• Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 10+ years of transportation roadway design experience
• Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and teams (Limited Access Experience desired).
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables while meeting deadlines
• Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
