Volkert Inc. is seeking an experienced Roadway Project Engineer to support their Southwest Region in Houston or surrounding areas. The role requires a BS degree in Civil Engineering, along with 8-12 years of roadway design experience. Responsibilities include managing project designs, ensuring compliance with DOT standards, and being part of a team that delivers transportation and civil design projects. Qualifications

• 8-12 years of relevant experience in roadway design.
• Proven skills in meeting DOT expectations, schedules and budgets.
• PE (Professional Engineer) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Calculate plans quantities and engineering estimates.
• Lead development of project designs and direct EIs and designers.
• Prepare and modify reports, specifications, and designs for projects.
