Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field from ABET-accredited program.
• 5–10 years’ experience in highway design and engineering.
• KY Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Experience with KYTC and local county/state clients preferred.
• Proficient in design software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements and information from studies to develop accurate reports for submittal.
• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, and topographical data to plan projects.
• Perform design computations and prepare construction cost estimates.
• Prepare and compile contract plans, specifications and estimates.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and provide technical guidance within the department.
• Quality review of project designs per the Project Management Plan.
