LJA Transportation in Nashville, TN is seeking a Project Engineer to design and develop plans for TDOT and regional infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with team members, clients and consultants, applying advanced engineering principles in a supportive, employee-owned culture.

Ideal candidates will have a BS in Civil Engineering, a PE license (TN preferred), and 5+ years of MicroStation, Geopak/Open Roads experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required; PE license preferred in TN.
• 5+ years of experience with MicroStation, Geopak/Open Roads and TDOT procedures.
• Strong communication skills to engage with employee-owners.

Responsibilities

• Perform design calculations, prepare plans, and direct schematic designs for TDOT and local government projects.
• Interact with task leaders, team members, clients and consultants.
• Mentor direct reports and share knowledge with the team.
