This opportunity entails being responsible for the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for assigned projects. This position consults with the project manager to perform research, development, calculations, design, and delivery. It applies engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria for projects ranging in size and complexity. In this role, you will leverage your technical knowledge and experience to address design-related issues or concerns, working closely with the project manager through creative problem solving, interactions with clients, and timely task completion to meet project schedules. You will develop conceptual and detailed designs and calculations to support project delivery using current design tools, programs, and software. A key expectation of this role is to mentor and support the growth of junior engineering staff. You will provide guidance, review their work, and offer constructive feedback to help develop the next generation of technical talent within the team. This role may also lead design efforts on projects, coordinating technical tasks, guiding design approaches, and supporting quality delivery across multidisciplinary teams. As a member of the team, you will contribute to the successful delivery of a diverse range of projects for HNTB's clients.

The approximate pay range for Ohio is $95,991.51 - $150,140.56. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position based on all selected locations within the state at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
