Job summary

Southwest-Barricades in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a skilled Milling Equipment Operator to join our asphalt paving crew. You will operate milling machinery (Skid Steer 262D) and ensure work meets project specifications.

Qualifications

Must possess a valid Class A CDL and maintain an acceptable driving record.
Must obtain a negative drug test result prior to hire and maintain throughout term of employment.
The employee is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Flexible availability to include overtime, possible weekends and nights.
Experience working with construction crews with measurable production goals.

Responsibilities

Operate milling equipment to mill asphalt to desired specifications based on usage.
Control and operate milling machinery to mill asphalt on roadways and related surfaces such as parking lots, streets, etc.
Perform preventive maintenance on milling machinery.
Ensure efficient working condition of equipment and refer major problems to supervisor.
Keep company vehicle, tools and equipment clean and orderly; inform management of safety concerns.
