Job summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. seeks a full-time Highway Electrician Helper in Joshua, TX, to perform highway lighting maintenance and repairs in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

Based in Joshua, this role requires adherence to federal, state, and local regulations and company policies. You will install and service wiring, switches, relays, lighting poles, and related equipment; respond to outages; maintain logs; and operate bucket trucks.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years highway lighting electrical experience
• CDL-A or B license with air brakes endorsement
• Experience in installation and maintenance of highway lighting; both light poles and high mast light poles
• Possess a valid Journeyman Electrician License or willing to obtain within one year
• MOT certifications

Responsibilities

• Participates in the electrical maintenance & repair roadway lighting and facilities
• Installs, maintains and repairs wiring, electrical circuits, switches, relays, resistors, contractors, lighting, motors, generators, surge arrestors, breaker, fuses, control circuits, drives, and related equipment
• Trouble shoot and repair roadway outages
• Performs routine electrical maintenance including lamp replacement and keeping systems organized and working
• Maintain street, navigational, traffic signal lighting
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and coordinate repairs
• Perform scheduled maintenance of electrical components and logs
• Operate bucket trucks and ladders
• Document hours on timesheets
• Ensure safety policies are followed
• Team player with good communication
