Job summary

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Roadway Intern to gain hands-on experience in civil engineering through mentored, real projects.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, support project deliverables, and gain exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation and construction document preparation. This is a paid, full-time summer internship designed for currently enrolled civil engineering students.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering at an accredited university.
• Major: Civil Engineering; GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Must be at least 18 years old; preference for sponsorship-free applicants.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with team members on new ideas and project opportunities.
• Supporting engineers in completing project deliverables.
• Assist with preparation of construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation.

Are you a hard-working and dedicated college student who is looking to gain valuable work experience in your field? Do you want to gain experience while learning from great mentors and leaders? Barge Design Solutions is looking for someone like you to intern this summer.

Location: Birmingham, AL

Number of positions available: 1

You will gain experience in:

• Collaborating with team members on new ideas/innovations
• Supporting Engineers in completing project deliverables
• AutoCAD Civil 3D or Microstation
• Preparation of construction documents

Education & Experience Qualifications:

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree form an accredited university
• Major: Civil Engineering
• Current GPA of 3.0 or higher
• You must be at least 18 years of age.
• Preference will be given to students that do not require sponsorship

Additional Details:

• This is a paid internship working full-time hours (40) per week.
• This is an in-person work opportunity.
• Interns are not eligible for company benefits.
• Housing assistance is not provided.
