Job summary

CPH is seeking a Roadway Engineer to join the Transportation team in Sanford or Tampa, FL. The role focuses on applying engineering principles to design, develop, and implement roadway projects within budget and schedule constraints.

Responsibilities include creating drawings, reviewing specifications, analyzing designs, and communicating risks to management and clients. A Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and PE/EIT credentials are preferred, with at least two years of transportation experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 2 years of experience providing engineering support for transportation projects.
  • Experience with Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads Designer.
  • Engineer in training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions for roadway projects.
  • Create and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
  • Conduct analyses and tests to validate designs and ensure they meet project requirements.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensures that all aspects of the project's safety comply with regulations and quality standards.
  • Prepares and maintain project documentation, including reports, design changes, and status updates.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to upper managements and clients.
