AtkinsRéalis in Austin, Texas is seeking an entry‑level Roadway Engineer to join the Roads & Highways Central team. This is an entry‑level position based out of Austin, TX, providing exposure to planning, surveys, and design tasks under supervision.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration with senior staff, and development of professional credentials such as EIT with ongoing pursuit of PE. It is a full‑time opportunity for new graduates with an ABET‑accredited Civil Engineering degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited college/university.
• EIT certification required and working toward PE licensure.
• Basic computer skills to enter data; CAD skills preferred; strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform work involving plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment to support diversified engineering projects with limited complexity.

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Roadway Engineer to join our Roads & Highways Central Team. This is an entry‑level position and is based out of Austin, Texas.

Your role

• Perform work which involves conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures or equipment, to carry out diversified engineering projects or phases of a single project with relatively few complex features and requiring the use of analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning.
• Exercise independent judgement on regular assignments. Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features and possible solutions. Work is reviewed for application of sound professional judgment and assistance is furnished on unusual problems.
• Coordinate with and/or guide the work of junior professionals, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments.
• Interface with senior technical professionals and technical managers.

About you

• EXPERIENCE: 0‑2 Years of professional experience in a related technical field.
• EDUCATION: Completion of Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college/university.
• SPECIAL SKILLS: Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases. Technical writing, computer and communications skills required, CAD skills (preferred).
• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: EIT required and working towards attaining PE license.
