Job summary

HDR is seeking a Roadway EIT in Rosemont, IL to contribute to urban and rural roadway design alongside project engineers. You will take ownership of alignment, profiles, drainage, and prepare plans with construction estimates.

The role requires an EIT certificate and a Bachelor's degree, plus proficiency in MicroStation or AutoCAD and related highway software. HDR supports its employee-owned culture with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
• Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Responsibilities

• Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects
• Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans and construction estimates
• Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications and calculations
• Perform other duties as needed
