Civiltech Engineering, Inc. in Milwaukee is seeking a Roadway Design Project Manager to lead multimodal roadway improvements and manage design teams. This role combines hands-on design leadership with project delivery across multiple sites.

Candidates should have a BS in Civil Engineering, 4–10 years of roadway design experience, a PE license in WI or IL (or licensure pursuit), and proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D or Bentley MicroStation. Hybrid work available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 4–10 years of experience designing roadways, bikeways and multimodal facilities.
• Licensed P.E. in Wisconsin or Illinois; licensure pursued considered.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Bentley MicroStation.
• Knowledge of WisDOT and City of Milwaukee design criteria preferred.
• Experience developing construction documents and site plans.
• Experience leading project tasks and coordinating design teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently to manage time.

The Position

We are seeking a Roadway Design Project Manager to join our growing team of engineers designing multimodal roadway improvements throughout the Milwaukee area. Candidates based in Chicago will also be considered for the Milwaukee position. This role combines hands-on design leadership with project and team management. Day-to-day responsibilities for transportation improvements located at various project sites include:

• Roadway Design Pedestrian
• Safety Design
• Bike Facility Design
• Streetscape Design
• Grading and Drainage Design
• Sidewalk and ADA Design
• Traffic Signal Design
• Cost Estimating
• Preparation of plans, exhibits, and reports
• Managing and mentoring design teams, including QA/QC oversight

What We Are Looking For

• You have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering or related field.
• You have 4–10 years of experience designing roadways, bikeways and complete street multimodal facilities.
• You are a licensed P.E. in Wisconsin or Illinois; candidates actively pursuing licensure will also be considered.
• You are skilled in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Bentley MicroStation.
• You have knowledge of WisDOT and City of Milwaukee design criteria, policies, and procedures preferred, but not required.
• You have experience developing and interpreting construction documents and site plans.
• You have experience leading project tasks and coordinating design teams, with a growing focus on client communication and project delivery.
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• You have the ability to work as part of a team and independently to effectively manage time and complete a daily list of projects.
