Job summary

Ciorba Group’s Peoria office is expanding its roadway engineering team to support DOTs, counties, and municipalities in Illinois. The Roadway Engineer III role involves design and field inspection support across multiple projects with supervision as needed.

The Engineer III will develop preliminary studies and plans, lead design efforts, and mentor junior engineers while maintaining project documentation and standards. Strong CAD and communication skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited school.
• 5-8 years of roadway design experience.
• Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Make calculations and run models for assignments in a format that can be easily checked by others.
• Maintain proper filing, calculations, documentation, and drawing conventions/standards as established by Ciorba Group.
• Design work in MicroStation, Open Roads, and other software.
• Mentor staff engineers.
