Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
  • P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Proficiency in Microstation, Open Roads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D.
  • Strong knowledge of roadway design standards and traffic engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the design team to develop detailed roadway designs and ensure compliance with regulations and project specs.
  • Assist in development of project plans, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for roadway infrastructure.
  • Select materials and prepare engineering specifications for road construction and maintenance projects.
  • Create alignments and geometric designs for roads and intersections with safety in mind.
  • Obtain necessary permits and approvals from authorities for roadway projects.
  • Provide technical support during construction and monitor project progress.
  • Conduct inspections and quality control to ensure design standards are met.
  • Integrate environmental considerations into roadway design, including stormwater management.
  • Assist in monitoring budgets and schedules.
