Service Truck Driver

The CDL service truck driver works directly with the asphalt paving crew and drives the truck to jobsites to deliver tools and equipment needed for daily jobs. This position is responsible for the daily pre/post trip inspections on the service truck and ensures the truck is safe and clean. The service truck driver will operate a finisher roller in addition to the responsibilities above.

• The primary duty of this position is to work directly with the construction crew to assist in hauling, grading and mixing material for the roadway, and operate a Finish Roller when needed. This position requires a person who has the ability to work evenings, holidays, weekends and emergency events.
• Performs manual labor duties requiring the use of hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes, hand tampers, jack hammer, etc.
• Properly maintains all assigned equipment.
• Performs daily pre- and post-equipment inspections to ensure that proper fluid levels, air pressure, and the overall safety and cleanliness of equipment is maintained at all times. Conducts CDL inspections on required vehicles according to Federal standards.
• Drives truck to deliver personnel and equipment to work sites; ensures truck is stocked with necessary materials and tools; cleans debris from work sites.

Qualifications:

• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid Class A driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends if or when necessary.
• Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
• Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures!!
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.
