Job summary

Goodyear in Winona, MN is seeking a Roadside Tire Technician to respond to semi-truck tire failures at customer sites. You will repair or change tires, perform mounting and balancing, and work in a fast-paced roadside environment.

Starting pay is $22–$26 per hour with paid training, a company truck and tools provided, and an on-call schedule every third week. Benefits include medical, 401(k), vacation, tuition reimbursement and more.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Servicing Commercial Tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing any type of tire.
• Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary.
• Inflating of tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
• Dispatched to customer locations for roadside tire repairs or changes.
• Assist with mounting orders, shop organization, and other general duties as needed.

To elaborate a bit further; when a customer has a tire related failure, a Technician is dispatched to the customer's location to repair or change the tire. During times when there are no service calls pending, Technicians will be expected to help mount orders, clean and organize the shop, and other general duties as needed.Shift Information: This position includes participation in a mandatory on-call rotation.
