Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking a Roadside Technician to handle emergency tire service for semi-truck fleets. Technicians are dispatched to customer locations to repair or replace tires and must be available roadside while on duty. When not on service calls, duties include mounting orders and shop maintenance.

Eligible candidates have a valid driver’s license, are at least 18, and can work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and compliance with commercial driver qualification requirements.
• Minimum age 18.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and reassemble commercial tires, including removing, mounting, and repairing any type of tire.
• Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary.
• Inflate tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements, including proper PPE use, tire cage application, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain readiness for rapid response by staying prepared for route changes and emergency assignments.

Job Summary

Roadside Technician – emergency response tire technician for semi‑truck fleets. Technicians are dispatched to customer locations to repair or replace tires, and are expected to be available roadside while on duty. When no service calls are pending, technicians assist with mounting orders, shop maintenance, and other general duties.

Shift Information

• Mandatory on‑call rotation. During on‑call periods, technicians must respond to after‑hours service calls with a 95% acceptance rate, including weekends and nights.
• Time worked on after‑hours calls is paid double‑time, with a minimum of 2 hours per call. For example, a 45‑minute call will be compensated with an additional 1 hour 15 minutes of double‑time pay.
