Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking a Roadside Technician to respond to tire-related failures for semi-truck fleets. You will be dispatched to customer locations to repair or change tires, often roadside, and may assist in shop duties when no calls are pending.

No experience is required for this position as training will be provided. The role includes mandatory on-call rotation with premium after-hours pay and comprehensive benefits.

• Valid driver’s license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Servicing commercial tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing tires.
• Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary.
• Inflating tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
• Complying with OSHA regulations and safety requirements including proper PPE and following safety policies.

Job description

Depends on Experience - Pay Range $20 - $30 Hourly - Up to $60/hr for after hours service calls

The role of the Roadside Technician position in our company can be broken down into one sentence: “An emergency response tire technician for semi-truck fleets”. To elaborate a bit further; when a customer has a tire related failure, a Technician is dispatched to the customer's location to repair or change the tire. This means that a Technician is expected to be roadside when performing their job duties. During times when there are no service calls pending, Technicians will be expected to help mount orders, clean and organize the shop, and other general duties as needed.

Experience isn't required for this __ position. You will be trained in any skills required

Shift Information:

This position includes participation in a mandatory on-call rotation. During an assigned on-call period, Technicians are expected to respond to after-hours service requests—including evenings and weekends with a high rate of acceptance.

All after-hours service calls are compensated at a premium pay rate with guaranteed minimums.

• Previous Commercial Service Tire experience
