Job summary

Uplift Education’s Hampton High School seeks a College Counselor to support the college counseling program across grades 6–12, coordinating admissions processes, information sessions, and campus visits. Qualifications

• Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills.
• Experience in a school setting and/or college advising preferred.
• Familiarity with Naviance technology.

Responsibilities

• Researches establishes, and maintains long-term relationships within the college admissions arena, including, but not limited to, college admissions counselors, directors and university outreach centers.
• Works with campus staff, faculty and RTC team to ensure that every student in every high school grade level is participating in available college-related activities when possible.
• Helps coordinate registration, supervision and other related issues regarding standardized tests administered to all Uplift students, including, but not limited to, SAT, SAT Subject Tests, ACT, and PSAT/SAT Prep course.
• Helps coordinate and host all college admissions related campus and network wide events, and high school visits for college admissions staff.
• Advises and provides academic counseling to all students grades 6 through 12, and assists with all aspects of our comprehensive college counseling program, including financial aid.
• Works to ensure that all seniors successfully submit high quality completed college application materials on time, in order to provide them with the best opportunity of gaining admission to their best fit schools.
