Job summary

McCarthy Tire Service in Kentucky seeks a Truck Service Technician to operate a mobile service truck, servicing tire and wheel needs at customer sites and performing inspections and repairs to keep vehicles road-ready. You will assist with shop/yard tasks when not on service calls.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform service (mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires) and repair work for customers (inside and mobile).
• Drive to customer locations or provide roadside service for inspections and tire repair.
• Be responsible for safe operation of company vehicles including compliance with speed and traffic regulations.
• Participate in training, follow safety procedures, job duties and company policies.
• Assist with location/warehouse tasks when not on service calls.
• Other duties as assigned and be prepared to take on new challenges.

Job description

As aTruck Service Technician, you will work offsite in a mobile truck to service McCarthy Tire customers with tire and wheel related needs. These needs include, but are not limited to replacing, inspecting, and/or repairing tires to ensure they are road ready and DOT compliant. Additionally, Commercial Tire Technicians will assist with any location/warehouse tasks when they are not performing service calls. These tasks include shop/pad work, loading/unloading retread/scrap trailers, and maintaining a clean/organized facility.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform service (mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires) and repair work for customers as directed by Service Manager (both inside and mobile)
• Drive to customer locations or provide roadside service for inspections and tire repair.
• Responsible for safe operation of company vehicles including compliance with speed and traffic regulations.
• Participates in training, follows safety procedures, job duties and company policies.
• Any other duties as assigned.
• Other duties can and will arise, and candidate should be prepared to take on these challenges openly.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Degree or GED.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Experience with heavy duty and commercial tires, particularly tire mounting and dismounting.
