Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet, including aerial work platforms and heavy equipment. You will work across makes and models in remote locations, developing new skills for a career track in service or operations management.

The role requires 3-5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, a valid driver's license, and flexibility with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3-5 years mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics on equipment.
• Repair equipment to minimize downtime and extend service life.
• Operate on a variety of makes and models in challenging remote locations.
• Maintain safety-focused work practices and adhere to procedures.
