Job summary

Alta Equipment Group is seeking a full-time Asphalt Paving Technician for our Florida region. You will diagnose, maintain and repair heavy paving machinery such as pavers, rollers and milling machines, performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime on construction sites.

The role requires 3–5 years of heavy equipment repair, experience with asphalt paving gear preferred, tool ownership, and willingness to travel and be on call nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of heavy equipment repair experience in the shop or on the road.
• 2 years of experience with Asphalt paving equipment (preferred).
• Excellent mechanical aptitude with understanding of engines, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Willingness to travel and be on call nights/weekends.
• Possess own tools and basic computer skills (MS Outlook).
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Complete inspections on specific road products.
• Removal and installation of parts.
• Power washing and parts cleaning.
• Implementation of optional accessories.
• Maintenance and basic diagnosis/troubleshooting.
• On-the-road testing of equipment.
• General repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintain consistent, regular attendance.
