Job summary

OLH Inc. in Columbia, SC seeks Road Construction Inspectors to oversee field inspections for roadway, bridge and structure projects. You will ensure quality, safety, and contract compliance under a Construction Manager.

You will work with SCDOT and municipalities, perform measurements and tests, maintain records, and advise on adjustments. Requires 1–5 years experience and a HS diploma; competitive benefits, truck, and 401K match offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to read and interpret plans.
• 1–5 years of experience in roadway, structure, and/or bridge construction methods.
• Knowledge of environmental, safety, and EEO guidelines/regulations.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, inspect, and monitor contractors on roadway/bridge projects.
• Schedule inspection phases and coordinate with clients and agencies.
• Take field measurements and perform material tests.
• Maintain project records and progress schedules.
• Ensure safety compliance and quality control per plans.
