Job summary

Denton County, TX is seeking an experienced Driver/Equipment Operator II to maintain and construct roads and bridges. You will operate heavy equipment such as compactors, front-end loaders, and backhoes, perform patching, culvert installation, and brush cutting while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include traffic control, signaling and signage, and periodic truck driving to haul materials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must possess a Class B Commercial Driver’s License with N endorsement; Class A CDL with N endorsement preferred.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and performing road maintenance tasks is expected.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment for road and bridge maintenance (e.g., compactors, front-end loaders, backhoes).
• Perform traffic control, flagging, barricades, and sign installation during worksites.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and ensure safe operating conditions.
