Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN to provide perioperative patient care, employing the nursing process and coordinating care with other departments. The role requires active MO licensure and at least 1 year of perioperative experience.

Strong attention to patient rights and confidentiality, with BLS/ACLS due within the first year. CNOR or RN-First Assistant is preferred for additional qualifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year perioperative nursing experience.
• BLS/ACLS required within first year.
• Demonstrates continued competence in assisting and in perioperative nursing.
• CNOR certification and/or RN-First Assistant certification class preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
