This position is located at Rocky Mount Health and Rehab Center, 300 Hatcher Street, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of this job is to assess residents’ needs, develop individualized care plans, administer nursing care, evaluate nursing care, and supervise nursing assistants and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care. Supervision must comply with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as directives from the Director of Nursing Services or designee, to ensure the highest quality of care. All health, sanitary, and infection control policies must be followed, maintaining standards set by the community's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license within the state of practice.
  • Must possess a current CPR certification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to carry out verbal and written directions with attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with supervisors, co-workers, and community staff.
  • Ability to observe safety and sanitary techniques.
  • Ability to work scheduled hours based on the position's requirements.
  • Must not pose a health or safety threat to others.

Experience:

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Shift & Wage:

  • Full-Time Opportunities Available
  • Shifts Needed: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7am-7pm
