Job summary

Autumn Leaves Nursing & Rehab Center in Texas is seeking a Weekend RN Supervisor to lead the day-to-day nursing activities on Saturdays and Sundays.

You will oversee wound care, coordinate with the nursing team, document changes in resident condition, report to on-call physicians, and ensure infection control while maintaining safety.

Candidates must hold an active Texas RN license, have at least 1 year of RN experience, EMR experience, and be able to work a flexible weekend schedule.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered RN license in Texas.
• Weekend supervisor experience in SNF preferred.
• EMR experience required; PCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day nursing activities on assigned shifts.
• Complete wound treatments as needed.
• Provide supervision to direct care associates.
• Obtain and relay reports on residents during shift changes.
• Document daily notes on resident conditions and changes.
• Notify physicians of changes in conditions or results.
• Ensure infection control procedures are followed.
• Be responsible for resident and staff safety.

We are looking for an experienced individual to become part of Autumn Leaves' clinical team as a Weekend Supervisor (RN)! The Weekend Supervisor oversees the day-to-day nursing activities of the Community during their assigned shifts and completes wound treatments.

Position and Schedule

• RN Weekend Supervisor
• Part-Time
• Schedule: Saturday - Sunday

Responsibilities

• Follow established standards of nursing practices and implement community programs, policies, and procedures.
• Obtain report from nurse being relieved and provide report to nurse coming on duty; record sufficient information to implement appropriate follow-up action, as necessary.
• Conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems to supervisor and initiating corrective action.
• Identify safety hazards and initiate corrective action immediately.
• Identify resident problems and emergency situations and initiate emergency care per physician’s orders in the absence of a physician.
• Provide supervision to direct care associates providing direct resident care.
• Observe community process related to signing out narcotic and administration thereof. This includes the process related to shift narcotic count and documentation thereof.
• Notify physician, when necessary, of changes in conditions, weight, medication errors, medication not available, abnormal lab/X-Ray results, and any other unusual observations
• Document daily notes on unstable residents/change in resident condition, Medicare residents and recently admitted residents.
• Be responsible for the safety of residents and associates under his/her supervision.
• Observe infection control procedures.
• Perform all the duties of a certified nursing assistant when required.
• Must perform all wound treatments assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) License in Texas
• Previous Weekend Supervisor experience in SNF highly preferred
• Electronic Medical Record Experience required, PCC preferred
• Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
• Be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience as an RN
• Compact license or Texas Nursing License in good standing
• Proof of current CPR certification
• Ability to work flexible schedule
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
