Job summary

Fowler Care Center in California is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to join our leadership team. The role oversees night-shift nursing operations, ensuring high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include supervising nurses and CNAs, guiding clinical decisions, handling admissions and transfers, and coordinating with the Director of Nursing and the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted California RN license is required.
• Minimum one year of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or acute care hospital.
• Supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification currently active.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support licensed nurses and CNAs during the night shift.
• Ensure resident care complies with physician orders, policies, and regulations.
• Provide clinical guidance and respond to changes in resident conditions.
• Complete clinical assessments, investigations, and documentation as required.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges, and manage emergencies.
• Monitor infection prevention, medication administration, and documentation standards.
• Coach and educate nursing staff to improve outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain survey readiness.

Schedule:

• Saturday and Sunday
• PM 2:45PM - 11:15PM
• NOC 10:45 - 7:15AM
• Part Time

The RN Supervisor is responsible for overseeing nursing operations during the night shift, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care, maintaining regulatory compliance, supervising nursing staff, and serving as the clinical leader for the facility during assigned hours.

Essential Responsibilities

• Supervise and support licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants during the night shift.
• Ensure quality resident care is provided in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and state and federal regulations.
• Respond to changes in resident conditions and provide clinical guidance as needed.
• Complete clinical assessments, investigations, and documentation as required.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and emergency situations.
• Monitor compliance with infection prevention, medication administration, and documentation standards.
• Coach, mentor, and educate nursing staff to promote quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain survey readiness.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or acute care hospital required.
• Supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
