Job summary

Touchstone Communities is seeking an RN Supervisor (Weekend Supervisor) to join the Frank M. Tejeda Texas State Veterans Home leadership team. This role supports compassionate, resident-centered care and mentors nursing staff across shifts.

The RN Supervisor will oversee clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and champion the Touchstone Experience by fostering teamwork, quality outcomes, and meaningful connections with veterans and families.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Texas RN license or Compact State RN license.
• Minimum of two (2) years of long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to resident advocacy and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing team members during assigned shifts.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality resident-centered care in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Monitor and evaluate resident conditions, responding promptly to clinical concerns and changes in condition.
• Serve as a resource and mentor for LVNs, CNAs, and other clinical team members.
• Promote a positive and collaborative work environment that supports engagement, retention, and professional growth.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident wellbeing and positive clinical outcomes.
• Assist with staffing coordination, clinical oversight, and shift operations.
• Support compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies and procedures.
• Foster meaningful connections with residents, families, and fellow team members through the Touchstone Experience.
