Job summary

The Bradley Center, the psychiatric and behavioral health arm of St. Francis - Emory Healthcare in Columbus, GA, is seeking a Utilization Review Registered Nurse to monitor adherence to the utilization review plan and ensure appropriate use of hospital services, admissions, and extended stays.

Under supervision, the RN will perform pre-certification, concurrent review, and discharge planning, acting as a liaison to support safe, timely, and medically necessary care within a trusted hospital

Qualifications

• RN with state licensure required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor adherence to utilization review plan for appropriate hospital services.
• Perform pre-certification, concurrent review, and discharge planning per guidelines.
• Serve as liaison to support safe, timely, medically necessary care.
• Coordinate with care team to facilitate discharge planning.
• Communicate with third-party payers and managed care entities.
• Collaborate with social services and case management to reduce readmissions.
• Review charts to ensure alignment with performance improvement metrics.
