Job summary

Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC, is hiring an RN for utilization review/care coordination responsibilities. The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and SC RN licensure, with CPR within 1 month of employment.

A BSN or higher is preferred, with 2+ years in utilization review or clinical documentation and knowledge of third party reimbursement. Experience in critical care, emergency, or surgical care is a plus.

Qualifications

Special Qualifications

Preferred: BSN or Baccalaureate degree in health-related field; Two years' experience as Utilization Reviewer/Care Coordinator or Clinical Documentation Specialist with knowledge of third party reimbursement requirements; Practice experience in Critical Care, Emergency Care or Surgical Care. National certification.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and policy and procedures manuals. Knowledge of and trained in age-specific categories being served: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric. Knowledge of occupational health and safety, ergonomics, workers’ compensation, and OSHA regulations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Demonstrated ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Demonstrated ability to interact with people at various levels in a courteous, tactful and poised manner.
