Job summary

University of Southern California's Keck Medicine seeks a Unit Supervisor for the Glendale, CA Med/Surg unit to lead day-to-day operations and support nursing leadership in delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

You will develop staff, drive quality improvement, and collaborate across departments while ensuring compliance with CMS, Title 22 and other standards. The role requires RN license (CA), BSN preferred, and 2+ years of acute care experience. Hourly pay range is $47.58–$76.68.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of clinical experience in Acute Setting preferred
• Unit Supervisor or Charge Nurse experience preferred (6th Floor Med/Surg) preferred
• California Registered Nurse License; multiple certifications listed (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, etc.) preferred and must be active at hire/transfer

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day unit operations and staff development.
• Support the Chief Nursing Officer and department leadership in delivering safe, high-quality patient care.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and collaborate with other departments.
• Ensure compliance with CMS Conditions of Participation, Title 22, CDPH, DNV-GL/NIAHO standards and related regulations
