Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring an RN Unit Coordinator for the Med Surg/Specialties unit. This role leads nursing care delivery on a busy 24-bed unit, supports safety and quality initiatives, and works under the department manager to streamline workflows.

You will help develop staff, promote Gold Standard customer service, and contribute to a collaborative, learning-focused team environment.

Qualifications

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 18 months nursing experience.
• BSN, MSN, or RN Doctorate from an accredited school.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Sentara is currently hiring an RN Unit Coordinator to work at Sentara Leigh Hospital located in Norfolk on the Med Surg/ Specialties Unit.

Department/Position Overview

This state-of-the-art 24-bed unit that cares for a wide variety of medical diagnoses from CHF, COPD, Sepsis, Pneumonia, Diabetes, Stroke, end-of-life to name a few. Specializing in care for those with chronic blood disorders such as Sickle Cell. You will also become very knowledgeable in procedures such as wound vacs, high-risk medication infusions, telemetry, trach care, chest tubes, peritoneal dialysis, etc. We also offer the ability to take control of your schedule with self-scheduling! Our staff members have different backgrounds that allow us to provide culturally competent care to our patients and families. The best part is learning and growing from each other! Teamwork is what we do best and no one is left behind or left out. We are Sentara Fami-Leigh!
