Qualifications

**Details**

+ **Department:** Triage

+ **Schedule:** 0.5 FTE | 20 hours a week | Part-time | Hours may range from 5 pm to 8 am | M-F | Varied hours on Sat-Sun | Every other weekend and holiday rotation

+ **Hospital:** Remote

+ **Location:** Wisconsin

**Responsibilities**

Provide patients with nursing support by telephone.

+ Prepare documentation information and transmits medical information.

+ Provide non-judgmental triage and/or advice using the nursing process, specific protocols and established resources.

+ Direct callers to appropriate level of care and provides healthcare advice/education using assessment skills, approved guidelines, and knowledge of self-care practices.

+ Select and deliver appropriate follow-up materials.

+ Provide professional, safe and effective care-related advice to patients.

**Requirements**

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

+ Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.

Education:

+ Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

**Additional Preferences**

Minimum 3 years of nursing experience. Phone triage experience preferred. EPIC experience preferred. Peds and OB experience a plus.
